Hire Me ¶

Since 2021 I’m self-employed and available for hire. Here is what I can do for you:

• Custom software development: As a software engineer, I can develop custom applications. Either as part of a team or by myself as necessary - with a strong preference for remote work. You get the most bang for the buck if you hire me to work with Java, Python, Lua or SQL. I can pick up other languages too, but I’d need to ramp up on those first. You can visit my Github Profile to get an impression of my skills. My main background is with backend services and distributed systems.

• Code reviews: If you’d like me to review your code, I’ll be happy to do so. I’ll look for issues related to coupling, encapsulation, readability, maintainability and performance.

• Sparring: If you want to meet to discuss various topics - like software design and architecture, development processes or want to improve your skills in areas like test driven development or API design - we can setup a meeting with you and your team or arrange for a pairing session. Remote is an option. On-site is an option if within train travelling distance from western Austria.

• Development process: If you need help with your development process I may be able to give advice. I’ve experience with various development processes, continuous integration, continuous delivery, Git and Github workflows. I also have a strong interest in asynchronous and remote work processes.

I usually charge by the hour.
